New Staff Bedroom with disabled en-suite facilities

We are proud to announce that the new downstairs staff bedroom with disabled en- suite facilities is complete. This now means that for a staff member using this room, they have a self-contained unit, which can also be used by a child an accompanying adult if necessary.

Development Plans Announcement

The Privett Trust are pleased to announce that the first phase of the developments to the Privett Centre have been completed and are now open for use this term.

There had to be slight modifications to the original plans, but we have been able to completely refurbish the 2 bathrooms, providing clean, modern shower and toilet facilities and a fully compliant disabled bathroom.

We have also transformed one of the staff bedrooms, introducing central heating and a fresh new look! A staff bathroom has also been re-vamped. The total cost for this work was £35K, which was financed by Trust funds, a rent holiday from HCC and a generous donation of services from the architect, Mark Penfold.

The work was completed in just 8 weeks by builders Pool & Sons, who have done a magnificent job! Please see the the pictures for yourself!

Along with the improvements to the building, there is also now a laundry facility available at the centre which we hope can make your stay there even more comfortable than before. The Trust would like to make further improvements, including a bedroom with en-suite disabled facilities and a 'wet area' and new entrance. The timing of these future phases will depend on funding available, so watch this space!

These improvements have been made for the comfort and convenience of the children and staff who stay at the centre and we hope that you will enjoy them on your next visit. Our aim is also to attract more clubs and associations to use the centre, outside of term times, so please pass on the word to anyone you think might be interested!

We are pleased that more and more schools and youth groups are using the centre and we look forward to welcoming you there soon.

Look! New Floor!

We are pleased to announce that the floor in the main hall has been taken back to the original floor boards (although a newly carpeted area has remained at one end of the hall).

Apart from looking great, this will also make the cleaning of the hall for those of you who use the centre much easier.

Calling All Ramblers!

The centre is situated in the glorious East Hampshire countryside and right on the doorstep of Hangers Way.
