GILBERT WHITE FIELD STUDIES CENTRE

The Gilbert White Field Studies Centre is housed in a newly restored medieval barn in the grounds of Gilbert White's House and the Oates Museum in Selborne. The Field Studies Centre has long offered day courses on natural history and environmental studies to adults and children at all stages of the curriculum. Led by highly trained staff, the new centre, officially opened by HRH the Prince of Wales on 10th July 2002, is a fabulous resource for study and is equipped with microscopes and designated work areas.Suitable for key stage learning;preparatory visits required.

Selborne Hanger and Gilbert White's zig-zag walk provide the backdrop to this historic site.
